Antigua is a on of the hives of yacht charter activity. Most yacht charters will begin with the glistening beaches and highlife of Antigua or Barbuda, before sailing northwest toward Nevis, St Kitts or St Barts and St Martin. Sailing conditions around Antigua are excellent and it is the sunniest island of the Eastern Caribbean. The northeast trade winds are nearly constant year round, wavering only in September. Antigua's coastline consists of miles of white sandy beaches, coves and secluded anchorages - ideal for any yacht charter holiday. Barbuda is a refreshingly peaceful island, still relatively untouched. The island is a great escape, and houses one of the region's most significant bird sanctuaries. The reefs surrounding Antigua and Barbuda, once detrimental to enemy vessels, are now a source of pure enjoyment for yacht charter guests. Snorkel or dive amidst a wonderland of colourful marine life including snappers, blue tangs, angelfish, grunts, parrotfish and brilliant corals.
